OP Dwivedi Award

opdwideviThe OP Dwivedi Public Service Award was established in 2008, and is named in honour of Professor OP Dwivedi for his leadership and his long dedicated service to IASIA.

This award honors a distinguished international scholar or practitioner to pay tribute to his/her significant contribution to public administration and to the advancement of public policy in the world. The eligible candidates must meet the following criteria: (1) contribute significantly to public administration as a scholar and/or practitioner, and (2) be recommended or sponsored by an individual or institution that is in some demonstrable way affiliated with IASIA.

OP Dwivedi Award Récipients:

2017: Ludmila Gajdosova, executive director of Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPAcee) will receive the award in Ramallah as a sign of recognition for her contribution to public policy in Eastern and Central Europe.

2016: Rolf Alter, director for Public Governance and Territorial Development at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), received the award in Chengdu as a sign of recognition for his contribution to public policy.

2015: Najat Zarrouk, Member of the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration

2014: John-Mary Kauzya, Chief of Public Administration Capacity Branch, Division for Public Administration and Development Management -Department of Economic and Social Affairs, United Nations

2013: Barbara Kudrycka, Minister of Science and Higher Education in the government of Poland.

2012: Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi, Director, Democratic Governance Group, Bureau for Development Policy, UNDP2011: Roger Wettenhall, University of Canberra, Australia and prof. Gabriel William, Outwardbound Sabah, Malaysia

2010: Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil,

2009: Guido Bertucci, former Director of the Division of Public Administration and Development Management, United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs.
