2021 O.P. Dwivedi Awardee Dr. Paul Joyce . Following a call for nominations and a process managed by the Dwivedi Award Selection Committee, the Board of Management endorsed the recommendation of that committee to give the O.P. Dwivedi Award to Dr. Paul Joyce as a recognition for his contribution to the advancement of public administration in the world.
Paul Joyce is an Associate at INLOGOV, University of Birmingham; a Visiting Professor in Public Management at Leeds Beckett University; and Publications Director of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) which is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. He has a PhD from London School of Economics and Political Science. His recent books include Strategic Management for Public Governance in Europe (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018, with Anne Drumaux); Strategic Leadership in the Public Sector (Routledge, 2017, 2nd edition); and Strategic Management in the Public Sector (Routledge, 2015). He has also coauthored a book with Turki Al Rasheed (2017) Public Governance and Strategic Management Capabilities: Public Governance in the Gulf States (Routledge Critical Studies in Public Management), New York, Routledge. Finally, he recently edited a book, with Fabienne Maron and P S Reddy, entitled Good Governance in a Global Pandemic (2020, IIAS), which was an investigation into the public governance of the COVID-19 pandemic over the period until the early summer of 2020.
