2020 OP Dwivedi Awardee: Prof. Allan Rosenbaum. Following a call for nominations and a process managed by the Dwivedi Award Steering Committee, the Board of Management endorsed the recommendation of that committee to give the OP Dwivedi Award to Prof. dr. Allan Rosenbaum as a recognition for his contribution to the advancement of public administration in the world.
Prof. Allan Rosenbaum holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Chicago in 1976. He received a B.A. in History from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Southern Illinois University, as well as a master’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Rosenbaum is the founding Director of the Institute for Public Management and Community Service (IPMCS) and Center for Democracy and Good Governance at Florida International University (FIU). He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and was from 2014 to 2018 the American member of the 24 person United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration, of which he served as Vice Chairperson, and for which he was nominated by the Secretary General of the United Nations and confirmed by the UN Economic and Social Council.
